Kuranga Native Nursery is a premier, family-owned Australian native plant nursery with locations in Mount Evelyn and Warrandyte, Victoria.

For anyone who loves Australian plants, a visit to Kuranga is less like a trip to the nursery and more like wandering through a living catalogue of our native flora. The Mount Evelyn site has an impressive diversity of plants, from colourful Grevillea and Banksia to Correa, Boronia, Eucalyptus, Kangaroo Paw and Wattle.

With more than 3,500 native species and cultivars in production, there is plenty to explore – from hardy groundcovers and grasses to feature trees and unusual plants for collectors. More than 70% of Kuranga’s stock is grown on site, which also means the nursery has an intimate understanding of how Australian plants perform in local conditions.

What I particularly enjoy is the opportunity to see native plants beyond the stereotypical bush garden. Their different forms, textures, foliage and flowering habits demonstrate just how versatile Australian plants can be in contemporary landscape design.

Allow yourself plenty of time here. You may arrive looking for one plant and leave with an entirely new planting palette.
