Set amongst the established landscape of Eltham, Classic Charm is a garden shaped by its natural surroundings. The steep, rocky site presented a number of challenges, with dry soils, changing levels and areas of shade beneath the existing tree canopy.

Daktari Landscapes developed and delivered a classic native garden that works with these conditions rather than against them. A combination of native trees, shrubs and groundcovers creates a relaxed, layered landscape, while rockwork, gravel paths and natural steps connect the different levels of the garden.

A deck and carefully integrated water features add further places to pause and enjoy the setting, while the ongoing maintenance keeps the garden looking established and considered as it continues to mature.

The result is a natural garden with a strong sense of place – an inviting landscape that feels connected to the surrounding Eltham bushland and designed to thrive within its challenging conditions.
