Set within a historic inner-city property, Isabel Henderson Kindergarten provides a unique nature-based environment for children in the heart of Fitzroy North. Across approximately 1,700 square metres, the gardens form an important part of the kindergarten’s outdoor learning environment.

Daktari Landscapes provides regular garden maintenance across the property, caring for its established trees, dense planting, garden areas and outdoor play spaces. Particular attention is given to keeping the landscape healthy, safe and inviting while maintaining the natural character that makes the garden such an important part of the children’s experience.

The site’s Urban Forest and nature-based play areas create a rich landscape of textures, shade and discovery, requiring thoughtful ongoing care rather than simply routine garden maintenance.

The result is a well-maintained and flourishing outdoor environment that continues to support the kindergarten’s educational programs while providing children with a diverse and engaging connection to nature.
