Set within the bushland surrounds of St Andrews, Eco Bush Cottage presented an opportunity to create a landscape that responds sensitively to its rural setting and environmental conditions.

Daktari Landscapes was engaged to provide consultation and develop a sustainable, bushfire-resilient landscape concept for the property. The process involved detailed site visits, discussions with the owners, research and analysis of the existing landscape, allowing the design to respond to the character and constraints of the site.

The resulting concept brings together considered planting, landscape structure, access and outdoor spaces to create a cohesive vision for the property. Detailed documentation and visual references helped translate the ideas into a practical roadmap for future development.

The completed design gave the owners greater clarity around the potential of their landscape and enabled them to make informed decisions about how the property could evolve while respecting its bushland setting.
